Installing Different Manufacturer’s MDB Bill Acceptors

All too often technical personnel experience a problem by not having the correct harness needed when removing and installing different manufacturer’s MDB bill acceptors in the field .

Below is a simple trick that will ensure you can use either a MEI MDB bill acceptor or Coinco MDB bill acceptor. Simply plug both manufacturer’s bill acceptor harnesses together as pictured below. One harness is a Coinco MDB #407420; the other is an MEI MDB #250071043. By plugging them together it will ensure you can use either manufacturer’s product. If the bill acceptor is only MDB with a harness attached to the unit , plug it into the 6 pin connector shown below.
